An official Hornby Hobbies Airfix Club model designed for ages six to adult, the double box set contains a 3000 piece colour jigsaw puzzle measuring 115 x 82cm or 45.3 x 32.3" depicting a stunning aerial artwork by A. Tooby of a Supermarine Spitfire in combat and in formation having fired at a Nazi warplane alongside and being pursued across blue skies and low over English fields. Also contained in the box is a Humbrol Airfix model kit number A68206 for ages eight to adult. The model when completed measures 127mm in length, 256mm in width, there are 36 pieces and painting instructions together with four acrylic paints, one brush and one poly cement in a tiny tube. The colours are authentic brown, green, black and cream and the model from number 610 Squadron No.13 Group, RAF Biggin Hill, July 1940 Spitfire Mk.1A.
